Our story

Your missing tessera

Born from one founder's frustrating search for a reliable peptide source — today a physician-led, pharmacy-grade practice built in the US

How we started

From fragments, a mosaic

Pharmacy-grade Physician-led Individualized

In 2024 our founder, Sam, got golfer's elbow from overtraining. He tried rest and physiotherapy before finding peptides. However finding a trustworthy source proved a nightmare. From this frustration, he built Tessera Rx

A tessera is a single small piece of stone, glass, or ceramic used to create a mosaic. On its own, it's just a fragment. Together, they fit to form something greater than the sum of its parts

We source the best peptides — all physician-led, all pharmacy-grade — and deliver them to your door

About Tessera Rx

What is Tessera Rx?+
Tessera Rx partners with a physician-led telehealth practice focused on whole-body optimization, longevity, recovery, and human performance. Our clinicians offer personalized medical consultations and may prescribe a range of evidence-based medications and cutting-edge peptides, alongside guidance on other innovative longevity strategies.
Does Tessera Rx employ licensed medical providers?+
Yes. All Tessera Rx providers are appropriately licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants based in the United States. They undergo extensive training, background checks, and NPDB (National Practitioner Databank) review, and practice within the scope of their licenses and in accordance with state telehealth laws.

Services and Medications

What kind of medications and peptides does Tessera Rx prescribe?+
Our clinicians prescribe medications that align with each patient's clinical goals and presentation. This may include FDA-approved medications and compounded peptides and vitamins from licensed 503A-certified compounding pharmacies. Clinicians may also provide educational information about other medication options and health products that are not available by prescription or where a prescription is not required.
Where are prescriptions filled?+
We partner with compounding pharmacies that perform rigorous third-party testing to ensure quality and safety. Our compounding pharmacy partner is:

Tailor Made Compounding
200 Moore Dr.
Nicholasville, KY 40356
(859) 887-0013

We also prescribe medications to retail pharmacies as appropriate. Patients may use our preferred pharmacies or ask their clinician about alternatives. Our clinicians may additionally discuss non-prescription options that patients can obtain outside of pharmacies.

Compliance and Safety

How do you help ensure patient safety?+
We currently limit the number of patients per clinician, allowing for personalized, high-touch care. All providers review the patient's intake, labs (if applicable), and history in depth before prescribing any clinically appropriate medications. Follow-ups and monitoring are built into our care model. Providers will refer you to in-person care when clinically appropriate. Patients may contact their clinician at any time with safety concerns and are encouraged to contact 911 in the case of any life-threatening emergency.

Access and Eligibility

Which states do you operate in?+
Tessera Rx providers are currently available to patients in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington. We are rapidly expanding and will update our website as we establish licensure and operational readiness in additional states. Telehealth consultations are conducted in accordance with state-specific telehealth laws and regulations.
How do I get started?+
You'll begin with a detailed intake form and medical history. After review, you'll be offered a telemedicine consultation with a provider licensed to practice in your state. If clinically appropriate, your provider may issue prescriptions to be filled by a pharmacy. Not all consultations will result in a prescription.
Do I need labs before starting?+
Some therapies require baseline lab testing. If needed, your provider will order labs for you. You may use your local lab, or we can help coordinate testing.

Pricing and Payment

Is Tessera Rx covered by insurance?+
No. Tessera Rx is currently a cash-pay practice. This allows us to offer longer visits, personalized care, and innovative treatments without insurance restrictions.
What is the Tessera Rx refund policy?+
Tessera Rx cannot offer refunds for services already rendered or prescriptions that were ordered. If you have paid for services and not yet received them, please reach out to support@tessera-rx.com requesting a refund and we will review your request and help find a resolution. Prescription medications cannot be returned once dispensed, per pharmacy regulations.
How do I cancel my Tessera Rx membership?+
